A Community Practice + Ritual honoring Gratitude and Grief

Sunday Dec 1, 1-4 pm in Minneapolis

Our hearts are immense.

They’re home to the True Self or Soul, seeded with Dharma – the unique essence or genius of who we are gifts, skills and callings. The heart is the seat of the Universal or Divine seated in the heart of all beings, through which we experience connection to and love for the world. When the heart is awakened, our dharma comes forth as an offering to the world and gratitude for the gift of life. The heart also holds space for the vastness of human emotions: peace, courage, fear, love, anger, joy, sorrow, wonder, shame, gratitude and grief – and so many more. Our heart also allows us to feel and contribute to the heart of the world.

Right now the heart of the world is suffering. You can see it in the intensifying conflicts of human culture. You can see it in the intensifying storms of the natural world. You can feel it in your chest.

Both our gratitude and love for the gift of life and our grief for the world are sacred.

Since time immemorial, living cultures have honored all aspects of our human experience – especially life, love and loss – through ritual. Ritual is a sacred space to:

  • offer gratitude for the gift(s) of life
  • honor the the cycles of life and the greater forces which sustain
  • feel communion with the sacred, the community and awaken to the soul
  • tend the grief of losing what we love
  • care for the heart of the world

Angela and Ben invite you to join us for a seasonal ritual of Caring for the Heart of the World – honoring Gratitude and Grief. Our time together will consist of :

  • Holistic Yoga Practice
  • Self-Reflection/ Journaling
  • Dharma Teachings on the heart, gratitude and grief
  • Chanting, Song and creative expression
  • Sacred Ritual for Caring for the Heart of the World
